What the Bible says about
money
The Bible talks about money with surprising frequency, because money competes for the heart. The problem is never money itself but the love of it. Scripture teaches diligent work, glad generosity, and contentment: three things no amount of money can buy.

The root of all evil?
The famous verse (1 Timothy 6:10) says that the LOVE of money, not money itself, is a root of evil. The Bible does not condemn owning things. It condemns being owned by them.
Two masters
"You cannot serve both God and money" (Matthew 6:24). Jesus treats money as a real spiritual rival. Either it serves you, or you serve it.
Generosity and contentment
God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7), and Hebrews 13:5 ties contentment to a promise of presence: "never will I leave you." Real wealth, by the Bible's accounting, is having God and needing nothing more in order to be at peace.
