Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

La Biblia is operated from Brazil, and the processing of your data is governed by Brazilian law. This English text is a translation offered for your convenience. If it conflicts with the Portuguese version, the Portuguese version prevails.

This Policy describes how the La Biblia app and website (“La Biblia”, “we”) handle your data. The controller is Daniel da Rocha Nascimento Gestão Empresarial LTDA, CNPJ 63.001.120/0001-23, headquartered in Jundiaí, SP, Brazil. Processing follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei nº 13.709/2018 – LGPD).

1. What data we collect

  • Account data: when you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect your name, your email address and, when available, your profile picture.
  • Product usage data: your reading history, your favorite verses, and the studies you generate and save to your account.
  • Subscription data: the status of your subscription (active, canceled). Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
  • Content sent to the AI: when you use the artificial intelligence study features, the selected Bible passage and your question are sent to the AI provider so it can generate the answer.
  • Technical and error data: to diagnose failures, we collect device information and crash reports. Those reports do not include your name or your email address.

2. What we use it for

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account.
  • To save and sync your reading, favorites, and studies.
  • To unlock the AI features for subscribers and to generate the studies, outlines, and answers.
  • To process and recognize your subscription.
  • To fix errors, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

The legal bases under the LGPD are: performance of the contract (providing the service), consent (where applicable), compliance with a legal obligation, and legitimate interest (security and product improvement).

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that operate the service, and only as far as necessary:

  • Neon (database) and our authentication provider, to store your account and your data.
  • Google, when you choose to sign in with your Google account.
  • Stripe, to process the subscription payment.
  • OpenRouter / AI model provider, to generate the study content from the passage and your question.
  • Sentry, for error reports and stability.

Some of these providers may process data outside Brazil; in those cases, we seek adequate safeguards.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete the account, we erase your personal data, except for what the law requires us to keep.

5. Your rights

At any time, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about how your data is processed, and you may withdraw consent. To do so, write to the contact address below.

6. Children

La Biblia is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group.

7. Changes

We may update this Policy. Significant changes will be indicated by the update date at the top of this page.
